Like any other seeds the germination process requires the correct environment, namely a dark, warm and moist climate. Once the seed starts to accept moisture though the skin the growth process will begin, until the seed cracks open and a small stem known as the radical root begins to emerge. The most efficient germination temperatures are between 74 and 78F.

Cannabis seeds need moisture, warmth, and oxygen to germinate. Plant the seeds in a moist soil or paper towel, keep them warm and moist, and ensure they have access to oxygen.

Cannabis seeds need to be in a warm, moist environment in order to germinate. The ideal temperature for germination is between 70-90°F. Additionally, the soil should be kept moist but not wet, and the seeds should be planted no more than 1/4 inch deep. Cannabis growers often find this method to be one of the best techniques for starting a marijuana seed.

Seed germination requires temperatures of 70°F–90°F (21°C–32°C). Once you see seedlings, slowly remove the plastic to allow your marijuana plants to breathe. You can then plant the sprouted seeds in their final growing medium.
