Homework has always been a source of strife for many individuals. There are advantages and disadvantages to both sides of the debate, so it will be fascinating to observe how students defend their position. Both parties should make a compelling argument, as well as adequate facts and proof to back up their claims. This problem necessitates data and statistics research.

Like most everything contaminated by bureaucrats, the public school system has grown into an obese and ineffective institution, whose main purpose appears to be as a societal money pit (and governmental daycare). The curriculum reflects this. Instead of a focus on the essentials, the focus is on the ever more trivial, and considering the increasingly dismal test scores and dropout rate, the so-called teachers and admin cannot even manage to teach the irrelevant. And so the curriculum becomes as bloated as the budget.

Anything and everything that actually needs to be taught could easily be taught, within the confines of a six to eight hour school session, and without any need for homework. Well, it could if not for the bloated curriculum encompassing needless classes, and useless time fillers. I would bet the school day could even be shortened by at least a few hours if the teachers and admin were forced to learn effective time management, and were subject to streamlining by efficiency experts. No doubt the school budget could also be trimmed of excess fat by the same or similar means. Of course none of that will ever happen if the unions and other obstructionists can derail such reforms, and they always will, as they don't care about the future of the kids...only about maintaining their status quo.

Homework is a burden for students and parents. It should be done in school with the help of teachers and friends. If it is been done by the student alone is better.

On the contrary , homwork motivates the student to review his subjects because if the dose not complate an assignment for the lesson or exercises he took he will not succeed in the subject except by a miracle .

There is nothing to do with homework all together. But it needs that each of them needs to do their part. It will not be cool if not because it will not be fair to those who are diligent to do the homework.

Learning has been always associated with knowledge acquisition and testing for acquired knowledge is through the use of questions. Homework is a good way of testing and kids should be allowed to do it themselves so they can remember whatever they have been taught

During my school days, I always felt so happy to solve problems independently. I do think modern students need to follow the old school ways.

Personally, I think schoolwork should be done at school.

I remember when I was in school, I had to catch the bus at 6 am.  School wasn't over until 3 pm.

I had so many extracurricular activities afterward.

I was so exhausted by the end of the day.

I shoved dinner in my mouth.

I think it's actually a bad idea, this will make the children play more than they learn, the homework should not be too big and plenty, so as to allow the children play and balance everything mentally.

Homeworks are the proof that a student must report to their parents on what's their lesson taught in school. It shouldn't be removed. The teacher should just be considerate before deciding to give a certain assignment to his students.

The debate over whether schools should do away with homework altogether is a complex one. On one hand, homework can help to reinforce concepts learned in the classroom and can help to develop good study habits. On the other hand, it can be stressful and time-consuming for students, and it can be difficult for some students to complete given their other commitments. Ultimately, it is up to individual schools and districts to decide how to best balance the pros and cons of homework.

Well in my opinion I think it is really good for schools to give their students homework because it helps them study more at home and revise what they have been thought
