To clean an oriental rug, first, vacuum both sides to remove loose dirt. Then, spot clean with a mild detergent and water solution, and rinse thoroughly. Allow the rug to dry completely before placing it back on the floor. For tough stains or deep cleaning, consider hiring a professional rug cleaner.

Cleaning an Oriental rug requires special care and attention. It is best to start by vacuuming the rug using a low power vacuum cleaner to remove dirt and dust. Then, use a damp cloth to spot clean any stains or areas that need extra attention. For more difficult stains, you can use a mild soap and cold water to gently scrub the affected area. Finally, hang the rug in a dry, well ventilated area to dry naturally.

Start by cleaning the spot with degreasing dish soap mixed into cold water. Use a sponge to blot the stain. Rinse the spot with clean water, then dry it with a cloth. If this technique doesn't work, you can try using vinegar.
