First of all sweep away any dirt and debris with a soft bristled broom. once you are satisfied, you can clean them thoroughly  with a natural stone cleaner. Some cleaners can be applied directly while others must be diluted in warm water.

The best way is to use sandpaper to remove the shard edges of stones after drying them up with water. Then, use stone polish after cleaning them up.

Start with coarse-grained sandpaper to round out the sharp edges of the rocks it takes 10-15 minutes of sanding to create a smooth surface. You can soak the rocks in oil to make them shiny, allow 5-10 minutes for them to soak then gently remove excess oil with an absorbent cloth.

The best way to polish stone is to use a polishing compound. The compound should be applied with a soft cloth and buffed until the desired shine is achieved. Additionally, you can use a polishing machine to achieve a higher level of shine. For best results, use a polishing pad designed for use with the specific type of stone you are polishing.

Lay the lowest grade sandpaper (the 180 grit) out onto the chopping board rough side up. ...

Pour a small amount of water onto the centre of the sandpaper.

Polish the stone by rubbing the gemstone over with the sandpaper and water to create a smooth facet.
