Air conditioners can do a lot of harm to our skin and hair. An air conditioner is an appliance used to replace hot air with cold air. They suck out the essential moisture and substitute it with the cool air.  The normal air moisture is taken out via the concentrate drain and is replaced by the cool air that blows out from the vents. This continuous process eventually dries up the room atmosphere and the moisture necessary for hair hydration. Air conditioners make our hair frizzy, increase hair fall, make it dull and also increase split ends and make it prone to damage. Air moisture is an external source of hydration that is essential to prevent the hair from breakage. If your work place is fully air conditioned, allow your scalp and hair to regain moisture by going outdoors once in a while.

There is no scientific evidence to support the claim that airconditioners lead to hair loss. However, some people may believe that this is the case because they experience increased static electricity in their hair when they use an air conditioner.

This can cause the hair to appear frizzy and can make it more difficult to style. Additionally, the dry air produced by an air conditioner can contribute to dryness and breakage. While air conditioners may not cause hair loss, they can certainly contribute to the appearance of thinning hair.

Definitely! It absorbs the moisture from your body.

It causes dry skin. So moisturize your body regularly if you can't stay without AC.

It causes dry scalp and dry hair which ultimately can cause hair fall.

Lack of moisture can result in premature ageing, unwanted skin disorders, dullness and even skin degeneration. It keeps the skin and hair from natural nourishment. Air conditioners make our hair frizzy, increase hair fall, make it dull and also increase split ends and make it prone to damage.

You might not believe it but it is a fun fact. Direct use of AC to one's head will cause hair loss. In fact, too hot and too cold can both cause the same effect on one's hair.

Frizzy hair, increase hair fall, makes it dull and also increases split ends, and makes it prone to damage. Lack of sunlight can also be a problem you need vitamin D for healthy hair growth that comes from the sun.

Air conditioning does not directly cause hair loss, but it can contribute to dry scalp and hair, which may increase the risk of hair breakage and thinning.

There is no direct evidence to suggest that air conditioning (AC) causes hair loss. Hair loss can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, hormonal changes, medications, certain medical conditions, and poor nutrition.

However, prolonged exposure to dry air, which can be caused by air conditioning, may cause hair to become dry and brittle. This can make the hair more prone to breakage and damage, which can make it appear thinner. Additionally, if the air conditioning is not properly cleaned and maintained, it can circulate dust and other allergens, which may contribute to skin irritation and scalp conditions that could indirectly lead to hair loss.

In summary, while there is no direct link between AC and hair loss, prolonged exposure to dry air and poor air quality could indirectly impact the health of your hair and scalp. It's important to maintain proper air conditioning maintenance and take steps to keep your hair and scalp healthy, such as regularly washing your hair, using a moisturizing conditioner, and avoiding harsh hair treatments.
