Classification of organisms has been categorized into five major classes. This is according to the characteristics exhibited by the organisms . The bat has characteristics of birds since it has wings , can fly and also mammal characteristics such as giving birth hence it has been hard to classify it as either a bird or animal

As far as I could remember, 'bats are not birds.' This is what my science teachers nurtured in my younger minds before. They are also mammals like us as human beings in the animal kingdom.

Bats are not birds, despite having fully developed wings that allow them to fly. Bats are categorised as mammals, whereas birds are classified as Aves. Bats and birds differ primarily in that bats produce milk and give birth to live offspring, whereas birds lay eggs. Bats do not have feathers, unlike birds.

Bats are classified as mammals since they give birth to live ones instead of laying eggs, their body is covered in fur and they have mammary glands, so no, bats are not classified as birds.

No, a bat is not a bird. Although they share some similarities such as being warm-blooded, laying eggs, and having wings, bats are actually mammals. Unlike birds, they nurse their young with milk, have hair or fur, and use echolocation to navigate and hunt for prey. Additionally, birds have feathers while bats have wings made of skin stretched over bony fingers.

People used to believe bats were birds, they just didn't have feathers. But bats and birds fall into two very distinct categories; bats are classified as mammals and birds are aves. Bats give birth to live young and produce milk to feed their babies. Birds lay eggs and forage to feed their young.

No, a bat is not classified as a bird. Bats are actually mammals, just like humans, dogs, and whales, among others. Whilebats do have wings and can fly like birds, their wings are actually made of skin stretched over elongated fingers, whereas bird wings are made of feathers.

bats are not birds. Despite some similarities, bats belong to a different group of animals called mammals. While birds are warm-blooded and lay hard-shelled eggs, bats are also warm-blooded but give birth to live young.

Bats have wings that are formed from skin stretched between elongated finger bones, while birds have feathers that make up their wings. Additionally, bats typically roost or hang upside down, while birds perch on branches. The ability to echolocate, or use sound waves to navigate and find food, is also a unique trait specific to bats.

I would say a bird is a bird. But a bird is also an animal that fly. This said, a bat, is a dark bird or a dark animal that fly. A better name need to be found. Maybe a bat is a monster too; a monster of the night and not a bird. A little monster that fly like a bird.
