Pomegranate fruits are beautiful red fruits. They are very healthy. To answer the question, yes, you can eat pomegranate seeds and they are very good for you, too.
Many people pop them open, scoop out the seed and eat them whole. However, others suck the juice of each seed before spitting the white fibrous middle out. I'ts the latter group who may be missing out the many health benefits of a pomegranate fruit has.

Pomegranates are fruits rich in vitamin C, potassium and fiber. The fiber are mostly found in the white seeds hiding beneath the pockets of juice.

It is also a healthy snack becuase it only contains few calories. Great for your diet.

They are also rich in antioxidants which protects the body from inflammation and free radical damage.

Yes, it is hundred percent safe to eat the seed of this wonderful fruit. Pomegranate seeds are not what most people see it to be, because they are also packed with essential nutrients just as the fleshy external part of the fruits. It has been proven that pomegranate seeds are loaded with the following:

Fiber; fiber is one of the recommended nutrients for those that are suffering from constipation. Basically, what fiber does is to accelerate the digestion process of the food we eat by helping in the emptying of the bowel. Without this fiber which is also found in pomegranate seeds, an individual can suffer from indigestion.

Minerals; pomegranate seeds also have sufficient amount of minerals such as potassium needed for the proper functioning of the heart and muscle. Other minerals in pomegranate seeds are iron, zinc, magnesium, and calcium.

Vitamins; important vitamin such as vitamin K, which is vital for the clotting of the blood is also among the vitamins in pomegranate seeds. Pomegranate seeds also have vitamin E which is needed in the prevention of environmental pollutants.
