Do you like to read books for children?

Several years back I wanted to try writing books for children.  Becoming an author of children's books never happened for me.  Life got in the way.  But in the process of trying, I learned something about myself.  I love reading books for children.  Not reading books TO children.  I'm an adult and I love reading books written FOR children.  Especially fantasy picture books!  They are so amazing.  Neat little short stories with a moral lesson and amazing illustrations!  Going to the library, picking books off the shelves from the children and juvenile literature section, and taking them home to read is such a delightful treat!  Even though you're an adult, do you enjoy reading books written for children?

If I don't find it fun to read for my own children, who then would I find it satisfying to read to? My kids are my joy and I find it absolutely fascinating reading to them.

If you ever have or lived with the curious and inquisitive type of children, you are most likely not going to have a choice of not reading to them especially during their bed time periods before going to sleep in the night. My daughter is very inquisitive of all my children, she can observe whatever it is she has watched in her children movies and would do virtually anything and everything for you to do for her exactly what she witnessed in the movies.
At first, don't used to read to her during bed time but after watching a few American movies where she saw children being read to by their parents before they sleep, she demanded for it and I had no option but to do it for her. How I normally read for or to her was in helping her with her home work and assignments.

Any parent that loves his or her child or kids will definitely make out time to read to them always. Our world today is totally different from how we were brought up by our parents. I can still remember very well not to have experienced getting read to by my parents when I was still a kid especially bedtime stories. It wasn't a trend back in those years but now, it's something very commonly done by most families for their children. I'm not taking out the possibility of some families not reading to their children not even once but I don't joke with reading to my children.

Reading them bedtime stories about fairly tales is something very constant in my family and it helps them sleep very well at night. Also, it's impossible to pass a day without helping them to do their homework, so we read everyday.

Yes, I have seen even the parents get addicted to the interesting books like Queen Of Persia, Out Of Egypt and Miracle Lights. It is good to see the kids happy and active through the books.

I do love children stories so much. They carry alot of fantasies that take us into a different world that is so amazing. I have two children who like stories so much hence I usually read for them children stories. By doing so, I also learn alot.

There is nothing wrong with that . I have read "The famous Five "  and " The Secret Seven " and these two are the best story series for little children . Both series are written by enid blyton

Harry Potter Book Series is the best children's book that I have read in my entire life. Aside from the books that I have read during my high school days, such as Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, and the like.

I do not enjoy reading books for children but i enjoy reading them to children. I find it more interesting and engaging when i read it to the children. For myself, i really love to read novels especially ones that deals with psychological and social issues like norms and cultures of diverse communities in the world.

Absolutely, I enjoy reading books for children. It's a special thing to me. They are so special. I love trying to learn about them and to find out what things have meaning for them. And of course, reading the books for themselves.

I love reading fiction for kids or even teens. If you are also into this kind of book I highly recommend a book called Howl's moving castle, by Diane Whynne Jones (or something like that). It is my top top top favorite book for kids/teens. There is even a movie for this movie, perhaps you have already seen/read it.

yes I really love reading children books because it has more interesting stories and good moral lessons to learn from it and it contains attractive pictures.
