One of my Sun chargers is getting hot when I use it. Also after it's unplugged. I don't want to take any chances. I don't think regular garbage is honest..it doesn't smell but safety first.

Well, as for me I would advise you to take them to a local electronic shop, they can be repaired and be sold as second-hand Accessories, or be recycled since I believe that these materials are sometimes recyclable.

The old and broken USB chargers should be recycled or disposed of properly. You can take them to a local electronics recycling center or contact your local waste management department for more information on how to properly dispose of them.

To dispose of broken USB chargers, you can follow your local electronic waste (e-waste) disposal regulations. In many places, e-waste can be taken to designated recycling facilities or dropped off at e-waste collection events. Check with your local government or waste management facilities to determine the proper disposal method in your area. Avoid throwing e-waste in the regular trash as it can have negative environmental impacts.

It is important to properly dispose of old and broken USB chargers. Most local governments have hazardous waste disposal programs that accept old electronics, and these programs can help ensure that these items are disposed of safely and responsibly. Additionally, many electronics stores will accept old and broken USB chargers for recycling, and some stores may even provide a discount on a new charger if you bring in your old one.

Any metal recycling center will accept your copper-cored wires, and will likely accept most of your small electronics, in addition to other wires and cables. You can also sell or recycle your used electronics.
