Do you think that shortages are getting a bit to common? Not to many issues but still low on stalk. Or employees just don't work or not told  Just seems to much still not any restrictions well gas prices.

Yes, many take advantage of increasing the prices of products, putting them at double or triple what they cost. Excusing the increase, scarcity and socioeconomic problems!

I agree that some are taking advantage of the current economy. Not only gas is increasing, but also other commodities here and in other countries.

At a certain point maybe that's the strategy of the stores due to inflation that is happening recently. It can be also that they are having a hard time getting their supplies due to the rising prices and they also need to bargain with their suppliers to get a good offer from them before they purchase.

Well lets think about it , if you wanna buy an item , say a headphone and the store says "only 3 left" and something like "50% off !" then of course people will rush to buy it who needs it

If that would be the discounted price for three items, I will grab the chance and sell the others at a higher price. I am just kidding.

Yes. Stores operate on the law of supply and demand. With greater demand (hoarders), and less supply (planned disruption of the food supply chain), profiteering is the predictable end result. Throughout the past hundred years, whenever commies or socialists have taken over any country, food shortages have been prevalent either prior to (or after) the takeover. Shortages and rationing go together with leftists....like Mom and apple pie! 'Twas always so.

"By destroying the peasant economy and driving the peasant from the country to the town, the famine creates a proletariat...furthermore the famine can and should be a progressive factor not only economically." Lenin

It is difficult to say whether stores are using shortages as a way to make money. It is true that shortages have become more common, and it is possible that this could be related to a lack of employees or insufficient stocking. Additionally, the lack of restrictions on gas prices could be a factor.
