Yes, your friend is right. I also have herad that the french avoid giving thirteen flowers to someone becaues they think that odd number of flowers bring bad luck in their relationship.

It sounds like having the day of Friday the 13th is what Americans and other nationalities believe. The number 13th is a bad luck thing to be avoided by them. Any strange beliefs in your country?

I think the number "thirteen" is considered a number which brings bad luck in a lot of places . Its probably why youur friend said like that . Its just a superstition and am not into such believes

I do have the same flow of thought. There is no such a thing of superstitious beliefs. In respect to our elders, I sometimes acknowledge them just to refrain from having arguments.
