Family gathering is more than entertainment, it has a big meaning of love and unity of family members, it's the best and it is very important in our society , some societies don't do this and also some people forget their family and never meet them or gather with them and this is not good because family is family and parents need their children and grandchildren to be around them.

No matter how we grow up parents need us around them and they always see us as their little kids so gathering is needed.

I do agree that elders need to be with their family members, such as the children. I felt bad for those who have their children too far away from them. There is no enough time to spend with the elders.

Main decision are made on get together.  Entertainment programs too.

It seems the best time for them to catch up. I find it interesting to know that Chinese people are into several well-known festivals that usually happen annually.
