The small intestine, where most of the digestive process occurs, is about 2.5 to 3 meters long, while the large intestine is about 1.5 meters long. The exact length of the intestine can vary between individuals and can be influenced by factors such as age, body size, and overall health.

The human intestine is approximately 6 to 7 meters long on average. The human intestine is a long, coiled, tubular organ that forms part of the digestive system. It is divided into two parts: the small intestine and the large intestine. The small intestine, which is about 6 meters long, is where most of the digestive process takes place and where nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream. The large intestine, which is about 1.5 meters long, absorbs water and electrolytes from indigestible food material and forms feces, which is eventually eliminated from the body. The intestine is lined with tiny finger-like projections called villi, which increase the surface area for absorption, and is protected by beneficial bacteria known as gut microbiome.
