Guns do neither. Guns are but a tool, and how any tool is used is entirely dependent upon the hand that wields it. The same butcher knife that prepares your dinner can be used by a jihadi to saw off the heads of two clueless Scandinavian gals in Morocco, or an equally gullible French teacher in Paris. It ain't the knife that chooses whether to fix your dinner, or torture an infidel to death....it is the hand that holds it. Understand this.

I can say both. It can protect people if evil elements want to hurt them. It can kill people for their wrongdoings, but it is best to know the real purpose of these guns.

For me l think guns kill people especially if your are not the police or other authorized private security. After what happened due to Covid-19 l noticed that others where more allowed to carry guns even inside the establishments which is not really good and advisable. You can never tell if their temper will change in a split second which is not safe for everyone who is outside. Others think that they are safe and protected once they get their guns but it is only bringing more harm like what’s happening recently. Like in my country the one allowed to carry guns are the police and security guards that are being hired inside the establishments. Those others who are also allowed to carry guns privately should take a physiological test before they are allowed to get their personal gun. This private people who have guns are not allowed to carry their guns in public places.

Never in all of history has a firearm been loaded, moved to another location, aimed, fired, emptied of its magazine, reloaded and restarted by itself without human intervention. They can protect people only if they are used by very responsible people but they can harm people if they end up in the wrong hands which is why really good gun laws can keep them out of the hands of irresponsible people

People are killed everyday by guns. But do you actually think gun kills people. No it doesn’t. At least, not directly. Fund by themselves don’t kill people. People do. Guns don’t protect people either. This is an inanimate object. It cannot do things. People do. So people either use gun to protect or kill people
