Would you prefer to use normal English or netspeak when you chat with your friends?

When do we need to use netspeak with others?

I always use normal English. I'm a communications major and I'm used to using full English. My friends do so, as well. I think it's important to exercise proper English even if you're talking to friends or family.

I always use my normal English because the netspeak English will damage my English language with time , specially for dictation. the best way is to keep our English good and to improve our English is to use the normal English language .

For kiddies, it needs to be discouraged. It is also the same reason that it would affect their spelling skills of English words and the construction of complete sentences.

I like to use normal english all the time. But on using social media sone shortcuts .ay come. We follow british english at our country.

I agree that we can do it if chatting with close friends using social media. But I discouraged kids to do this as much as possible.

Personally speaking, it is not good to encourage students, especially the young ones to use netspeak. One thing is for sure, it will affect the flow of thoughts, tendency to incur spelling errors, and the like if they do this.

When chatting with our well Known friends the language that is mostly used is netspeak but for Nigerians we use pidgen language to talk to our friends.
