I think time bucks make use of those selfie pics to confirm if really you are real or they keep them to show others that they really pay their wortkers.
I don't know but when they force you to do this or they don't pay you then it is not there right to do this, once you prove and send them their payment address with your name and the documents, then they should not ask for a picture of you holding paper written on it time bucks.

I think time bucks here is doing what is called The KYC which simply means know your customer. Under this narrative a company get to know who their clients are and what kind of people do they deal with.

It is not an excuse because they ask for documents to prove , and if you open multiple accounts it appears for them from the IP address , I think they will use it for advertising to their website , but it is not good to force people to put a picture to withdraw the money , it should be an option to put a profile picture if you want, but not to send them a selfie holding paper written on it time bucks.
