I am not sure which to believe in. For catholic people, they claimed that it started and was described in Genesis in the Holy Bible. What do you think about this concern?

At the start, Earth was a hot, bubbling mass of rock. Before its surface cooled down sufficiently for life to survive, millions of years had passed. Although scientists have not yet discovered any fossils to support this, the first living things may have appeared as recently as 4, 000 million years ago. The earliest fossils that have been discovered come from microscopic bacteria that existed 3500 million years ago in the oceans.

I'm an atheist but i think anyone can believe in whatever they want, as long as it doesn't affect the beliefs of others, if you know what i mean

I do respect others' opinions about certain things. As a Roman Catholic, I go along with its belief but I also consider the scientific context of the origin of the world.

Life on Earth is believed to have begun around 3.8 billion years ago, with the emergence of simple single-celled organisms in the oceans.

The exact date when life on Earth began is still unknown. Scientists have estimated that the first single-celled organisms appeared on Earth around 3.5 billion years ago. The Catholic Church does not have an official position on the origin of life, but many Catholics believe that the creation of life on Earth is described in the Bible's book of Genesis.
