I would very much appreciate if you can perhaps share your reasons for choosing such books. Thank you!

I am a major Steven King fan and this is what I read the most. Not everyone enjoys how he writes, but I am intrigued by his words and the imagination he has in his work.

I would recommend reading 48 Laws of Power. I find that book very helpful in getting how to deal with life struggles.

I can also recommend reading Pearls of Wisdom.

Like water for chocolate - nice drama, beautiful romance. I believe the original version comes in the spanish language, but it has translations to many languages

Hows moving castle - lots of fantasy, love and magic...lovely - there is even an animated movie for this book, I love it to pieces. Both the book and the movie are very nice, even though the movie is slightly different than the book, but both are worth your time, really. The book might be a bit hard to find...I had a friend pick it up in NY years ago during a trip.

Pride and prejudice - just a classic, beautiful tale by Jane Austen, enough reason for reading lol

It really depends on what kinds of books that you like, plus the language. But these are some ideas for you to read, hope you like them.

Books, books, books. Well, first i have to know what kind of books you love. You mention Steven King, so i guess you are a bestseller /horror lover. If, that's true than you may try Clive Barker, in the horror area.If you like classics, then you can read Mary Shelly - Frankenstein.Timeless classic. Maybe Bram Stokker - Dracula is also a good choice. Someone suggest me The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty . And, that was a nice one. And, a new one. i see that list on biggest book titles, and Blatty is on that list. And, if I may suggest  Thomas Ligotti is always on my list of favorite writers.I think these days there is no one like him. Mixing little misanthropy, loneliness, claustrophobia, with a not very positive look of humanity makes him the best choice. So there you go.

Here are a few books that i think are worth reading and I think you would like:

1. Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck) - This is one of the books that I love. It is about friends and making difficult choices. Such a tearjerker. Only a few pages long, an easy read. But I guarantee this will make you cry.

2. The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho) - I rarely read inspirational books but this one is really good. It made me realize a lot of things about myself, about my life, about not giving up on dreams. I have recommended this to a lot of my friends already.

3. The Bell Jar (Sylvia Plath) - As far as I know, this is the only novel that the poet Sylvia Plath has written. It is actually a semi-autobiography. The novel talks about a girl who feels trap in a bell jar but eventually found escape in death.

4. Windmills of the Gods (Sidney Sheldon) - I'm a huge fan of Sidney Sheldon because he writes about mistery and politics and science and art and mindgames.
5. To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee)

If you want to feel good about yourself, your environment and human kind, I want to share to you the books I read. I read PDF free download copies of Chicken Soup for the soul. I read mostly different edition like Chicken Soup Inspiration for writers. I also read some about broken hearts and pain but still Chicken Soup for the Soul. Chicken Soup for the soul is like a summary of short stories that will inspire you. It will tells you about a sad stories, a problem from the past that a person solved, you realize that there are lots of kind people here on earth just in case you are losing faith in humanities. On this book, I appreciate my life more because I begin to appreciate every problems that I have. I realized that problems are not there to make us weak but to give us additional strength because another problem will come along and you are now prepared to accept. I begin to accept the fact that I am leveling up after a struggle.

I would like to recommend three books I've recently read:

The Innocent Anthropologist by Nigel Barley

It will be a good read for those just getting into the anthropology. The witty account of author's first fieldwork research offers a real insight into the life of a cultural anthropologist.

Bream Gives Me Hiccups by Jesse Eisenberg

The author put things in unique and creative perspectives, and that is why the book impresses me.

Everything I never Told You by Celeste Ng

It is a sophisticated and thought-provoking novel about racism and children-parent relationship.

Hello. I have read thousands of great books and recommend dozens of them. It depends on what you really prefer. There were times I bought books each months and the whole room was full of those books. Then I found booksrun and sold used books there. You may buy there very good books for lowest prices and sell your own as well.

Read the last lecture by randy pusch. The story revolves around a dying professor who is determined to leave a lasting imprint on his students as well as his family's life. Throughout the entire book, he leaves bits of food for thought for the reader to reflect on their own lives and what can they do to make it meaningful.
