While the most effective way to fix a cracked iPhone screen is to take it to the Genius Bar at the Apple store, or find an Apple authorized service provider, if your phone is out of the warranty protection, it's pricey

First make sure that it is screen which is broken and not the guard. Secondly don’t try to fix it at home at it may result into further damage to the phone.

Do not go for cheap screens which is available at local shops because again after few months you will end up in similar situation. Go to a genuine store or Apple store and get it replaced.

If it is beyond your capacity to repair get it exchanged  in an exchange offer with Apple and buy new iPhone.

Fixing a cracked iPhone screen at home can be challenging and risky as it involves disassembling the device. Here are some steps you can follow: Gather materials: You will need a screwdriver set, suction cups, a screen replacement kit (including a new screen and a home button), and a plastic opening tool. Power off the device: To avoid damage to the device, make sure it is powered off before you begin. Remove the screws: Using a screwdriver, remove the screws from the bottom of the iPhone. Use the suction cups: Place the suction cups on the front of the iPhone, one on each side of the home button. Make sure they are securely attached. Lift the screen: Gently pull up on the suction cups to lift the screen. Be careful not to damage any cables or connectors. Disconnect the battery: Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry the battery connector from the logic board. Replace the screen: Replace the old screen with the new one, making sure to connect all cables and connectors. Replace the home button: Replace the home button if necessary. Reassemble the device: Put the device back together, screwing in all screws and reattaching the battery. It is recommended to seek professional assistance if you are not confident in your ability to complete these steps. Improper repair can cause further damage to the device.

use a hairdryer, heat gun or a specialized heating pad that comes with screen repair kits. Apply a suction cup to the screen. Take a small suction cup and place it directly on the bottom half of the screen. Press down firmly so it sticks to the broken screen.
