That is a very backward way if thinking and judging things. In this time we should all know that all children are a blessing regardless of their gender. You should just leave that man alone if he doesn't want to take care of the child but am sure he will regret it in future. You should just be strong for yourself and child and struggle with what you have.
As the mother of the girl child, it is her responsibility to love, protect and cherish her own child no matter what their gender maybe even if she is a girl child. As they carry the baby for nine months in her womb it is only right that they should have the love that any child deserves. Not only the mother or any of the family members should love their own family, especially the father which also came from him. The mother is the first person that should meddle in this kind of situation for sake of her own child. She needs to do her best to make her husband or father-in-law understand that they should learn how to love and treat her fairly even if it is a girl child. The child doesn't deserve to be treated unfairly since it is not her fault and she was given by God to be loved and cared for by her parents or elders.
For a child both are responsible not a mother itself. She is looking after the child day and night. The father who didn't wants to know any pain or difficult a women face from delivery to still now. Women is sacrificing her time, career, day and night to look after a baby. What a father doing for his daughter. Will he be ready to sacrifices his sleep for the baby. For a girl child , a fathers love and care is more needed. The father who didn't like children sound of crying and playing? Is he is a human being? Is there any father who didn't play with their kid? He didn't want to see or play with the kid. He is concern of his future and money needed for him to live. Not at all thinking about having a family life or any joy on living has a family. How much pain the child will suffer from friends and people on asking about her father. He care of his own peace of mind and his well being. No concern on how the child will answer on question of where her father is? On seeing friends with their father and mother? How she feels? No consideration for her daughter happiness. He should be happy and his needs tobe fulfilled. Will the child be happy with her parents with her?
I think it is the responsibility of both the husband and wife to take care of each other and their child/children, whether they are boys or girls. A marriage is a partnership in order for it to work and our children deserve parents who love them and care for them.
But to do if the father think of himself only. He is concerned about his future only. He didn't want a family. He needs only money and live alone.no responsibility and caring.
Sadly, it happens to a lot of families. I do hope the father realizes the error of his ways, but if he doesn't, the mother needs to be the sole provider and caregiver. It won't be easy. To be honest, I've gone through the same situation. I'm happy that I have the support of my other relatives. After all, raising a child takes a village.
