If it were me, I would prefer little because it will be easier for me to monitor them. Things like insubordination and laziness can quickly be seen and corrected.

Usually the managers prefer to have narrow span of management. It will be easy to manage and observe a small group of people.so that corrections can be made easily and fast result will be obtained.

At some point, you are right. But then, career advancement will be limited in a small-scale business. I do not have a low opinion if people wanted to work here.

At my age, I prefer a short span of management. The reason is that I don't want to spend lots of time in a particular organization. I am referring to NGOs.

Of course they do prefer small span because everyone wants to do work with perfection and everyone prefers easy tasks rather than difficult tasks.

Managers generally prefer a relatively small span of management, as it allows for more individual attention and supervision of subordinates.

Generally, managers prefer a relatively small span of management. This is because a small span of management allows managers to have more control over the tasks they are responsible for, and allows them to more easily monitor the progress of their employees. A small span of management also means that managers have fewer resources at their disposal, and may not be able to handle larger tasks.
