Definitely true some religions believe meat should not be consumed.

Pressure from parents, friends, religion, etc., and their innate need to 'conform to the norm'. Desire to claim moral and ethical superiority over the bestial carnivores. Or they buy into the propaganda that limiting ones diet to veggies is somehow more healthy.

I guess they thought that vegetables are more nutritious than meat which is true, but meat also has it's nutrients too. Another is they're giving importance to animal's lives.

Dunno man, no one in my family or neighborhood ever offered nonveg and then I developed a habit to eat only vegetarian.

Although I don't mind people eating meat near me, the idea of me myself consuming it isn't very appetizing.

No hard feelings for anyone:D.

There are many reasons why some people choose to follow a vegetarian diet. Some people become vegetarians for health reasons, as a vegetarian diet can be a healthy way to get all the nutrients the body needs. Other people become vegetarians for environmental reasons, as a vegetarian diet can be more sustainable and have a lower carbon footprint compared to a diet that includes meat. Some people also become vegetarians for ethical reasons, as they believe it is wrong to kill animals for food or because they disagree with the way animals are treated in the meat industry. Finally, some people follow a vegetarian diet for religious or cultural reasons.

Some people become vegetarians for a variety of reasons, including health, environmental, and ethical considerations. They may choose to avoid consuming animal products due to concerns about animal welfare, or because they believe it is a more sustainable way of eating. I respect people's decisions to become vegetarian, and I believe it is important to respect and support their choices. Everyone has the right to make decisions about what they eat, and it is important to be mindful of the impact our choices can have on the environment and the lives of other living beings.
