I think the most common type of pipe that is used for sprinkler systems is normal black steel pipe. Another type of material mentioned is NFPA 13. Plastic tubes are not suitable because of high temperature during fires, I think.

Black steel pipe is the type of steel pipe that is most frequently used for sprinkler systems. Another piping material for sprinklers recognised in NFPA 13 is copper tubing. Additionally, certain sprinkler system types are permitted to use plastic pipe, including CPVC and PEX tubing.

Fire sprinkler systems are designed to automatically extinguish fires or control their spread in buildings, factories, and other structures. The pipes used in fire sprinkler systems are specially designed to withstand the high pressures and temperatures that are needed to deliver water to the sprinkler heads.

The most common type of pipe used in fire sprinkler system is galvanized steel pipe. This type of pipe made form steel that has been coated with a layer of zinc to protect it from corrosion. Galvanized steel pipe is strong, durable, and able to withstand high pressures, making it well-suited for use in fire sprinkler systems.

Other types of pipes that may be used in fire sprinkler system include copper and stainless steel. These types of pipes are also resistant to corrosion and can withstand high pressure, but they may be more expensive than galvanized steel.

In addition to the type of pipe, the size and thickness of the pipe will also depend on the specific requirements of the fire sprinkler system. It is important to used the pipe that are appropriately sized and rated for the intended use to ensure the system is effective and reliable.

Fire sprinkler systems typically use steel pipe or a type of plastic called cross-linked polyethylene (PEX). Steel pipe is strong and durable, and it is able to withstand the high pressures and temperatures found in a fire sprinkler system. It is also resistant to corrosion, which is important in a wet system where water is constantly flowing through the pipes. PEX is a flexible plastic that is also resistant to corrosion and can withstand high temperatures. It is often used in residential fire sprinkler systems because it is easier to install than steel pipe and is less expensive

Fire sprinkler systems typically use steel pipes that are either black or galvanized. These pipes are strong, durable, and able to withstand high temperatures and pressure. The size and thickness of the pipes will depend on the specific fire protection needs of the building or structure, as well as local building codes and regulations. It's important to have a professional design and install the fire sprinkler system and to ensure proper maintenance and testing for reliable and effective protection.

Fire sprinkler systems typically use steel pipes that are either black or galvanized. Black steel pipes are usually used for dry pipe systems, while galvanized steel pipes are used for wet pipe systems. Additionally, copper pipes may also be used for fire sprinkler systems in some cases. The type of pipe used will depend on the specific requirements of the fire sprinkler system, including the size of the building, the location of the sprinklers, and the water supply available. It's important to consult with a professional fire protection engineer or contractor to determine the best type of pipe for your specific fire sprinkler system

Steel has traditionally been the material of choice for fire sprinklers, although thermoplastic pipes now dominate residential and other light-hazard categories.
