I want to further my education.  Such education needs to be free, online and with no loans.  Do you have any suggestions?

Getting an education online for free is easier than ever before, thanks to the availability of high-quality resources and platforms on the internet. Here are some ways to get an education online for free:

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs): MOOCs are free online courses offered by top universities and institutions. They cover a wide range of subjects, and you can enroll in them through platforms like Coursera, edX, and Udacity.

OpenCourseWare (OCW): OCW is a platform that offers free course materials, including lecture notes, syllabi, and assignments, from universities such as MIT, Harvard, and Yale.

YouTube: YouTube has a vast collection of educational videos on almost any subject you can imagine. You can find lectures, tutorials, and explanations on a variety of topics.

Khan Academy: Khan Academy is a nonprofit organization that provides free, online educational resources for students of all ages. They offer courses in math, science, economics, and more.

Open Educational Resources (OER): OER are free, openly licensed educational materials that can be used for teaching, learning, research, and other purposes. You can find OER through platforms like OpenStax and MERLOT.

Library resources: Many public libraries offer access to online databases, eBooks, and audiobooks that can be used for self-education.

Overall, there are plenty of resources and platforms available for free online education. With a little research and dedication, you can gain valuable knowledge and skills without spending a dime

How would you include YouTube as your education on a resume?

Any explanation would be appreciated.

If it's a specific skill you're going for, you can put the skill you've learned through YouTube and when you get asked during interviews, you can say that you're self-taught. I learned to do layouts in Adobe Photoshop through self-learning even though I have a different degree. I write it under skills and software that I know.

Under what section of your resume would you put:

Where you learned from.  For example, coursesity.com or YouTube.

What you were taught.

Your title.

I put it under software (ex. Adobe Photoshop) and skills (ex. layout and design). I don't put it under education since it's not a formal one. From where I am, you don't need to put where you learned a certain software or skill.

I cannot think of any universities that provide free education online. Unless, you are under a scholarship program. Perhaps you can try to check universities who offer this program.

Coursera.org offers some free courses. You can join for free. Sometimes you need to subscribe to get the course certificate even though the course itself is free.

Based on my experience, and some research you can learn some free courses in a platform called Alison. Some with certificates and diplomas. Coursera also offers free courses with certificates, but only for a limited time and you have to constantly check their site because you never know when they will offer it.
