I like the pansit bihon. It is the all-year-round meal. It consist of fine noodles with sliced carrots, beans, meat like chicken and sometimes they liver. It depends on what kind of mixture you want to put in it. It is flavored with salt, some soy sauce, sliced garlic, and onion.

In my country, having the Chirstmas Eve is the best thing that could happen to Filipinos. It does not need to have big festivity but being with their family is enough.

Baked Turkey (U.S.)

The American Christmas dinner ration is very similar to the Thanksgiving meal, with a roast turkey at the head of the table. The carcass is marinated for about a day and baked in the oven for three to seven hours. Sometimes the bird is stuffed with bread crumbs, potatoes, vegetables, herbs and mushrooms. Mashed potatoes act as a garnish. As important as the turkey itself are sauces - cranberry and gravy (gravy).

A simple sandwich with ham and fruits for the holiday season is the best for me. But as a Filipino, some of us changes the traditions by making a sweet spaghetti on the menu and some fruit salads that our natives passed with us. To match the cold weather, cold foods are also served in our tables such as ice creams and more.

Turkey and Gravy Many households swear by ham, lamb or another protein for Christmas dinner since it follows Thanksgiving so closely. But I still love a turkey centerpiece. Others (like my husband) consider the majestic bird too boring. If your turkey is bland too, you clearly haven't tried this one that will make your kitchen smell amazing.
