First and foremost, our hearts go out to you and your family during this difficult time. Cancer is a tough road, but with the support of loved ones, it can be done.

When it comes to cancer, there are many different dietary approaches that can be taken in order to help improve the chances of recovery or simply to make the individual feel better. For example, some people may opt for a more plant-based diet while others might choose to eat more alkalizing foods.

When it comes to Asian cuisine, there are also many different options that could be beneficial for cancer patients. For example, certain soups and stews like tonkotsu ramen or pho soup can be packed with nutrients and antioxidants that can help boost the immune system. Additionally, dishes that are high in healthy fats like salmon or avocado can also be helpful as they can help to reduce inflammation.

For cancer, calories do matter. Numerous studies have shown that dietary energy reductions (calorie reduction) significantly reduces the growth and progression of several types of cancers including mammary, colon, brain, prostate, lung, and pancreas.

When it comes to nutrition for cancer patients, it is important to focus on foods that are nutrient-dense and contain a variety of vitamins and minerals. Some good options for Asian food include tofu, tempeh, miso soup, brown rice, and vegetables such as bok choy, broccoli, and shiitake mushrooms. It is also important to limit processed and fried foods, as well as foods that are high in sugar and saturated fat.
