I overthink, and sometimes distracting myself with work is the way to go, that and shutting down, what about you?

Working is a great way to distract yourself from overthinking. These are the things I personally do:

1. Household chores

2. Watching a movie

3. Going to the mall

Nice, a friend, whenever I see her so focused on cleaning, I know she has something on her mind.

Watching a movie sounds good and going to the mall, window shopping or doing groceries are calming. Thanks

I totally agree that window shopping and doing the grocery is calming. I guess seeing products on shelves or display have that effect.

My mom told me that when she do household chores, she forget the anxieties she had. That's a proven way to distract overthinking

When it comes to me i usually lay down and watch movies, movies has actually been the best way for me to get my mind off certain issues that may be bothering me at that moment.

I work more so i will think only how to finish the work, also I watch tv, listen to radio, do some crafts , keep myself busy all the time so that I don't have time to think with problems and bullshits.

  2. Change your view of anxiety
  3. Be mindfull of your growth
  4. Challenge your thinking
  5. Distract yourself into happiness
  6. Step out of the drama triangle and take responsibility.

It is very simple for me. I just actively participate here and to the other sites. It is not my persona to dwell in such a situation. It is best to keep being optimistic.

If I realized that I'm overthinking, I'm making myself busy like watching sports or YouTube videos, I go outside and take a walk or ride my bike, I go to church to hear advices from our pastors and I motivate myself not just to think, but to do things that benefit me on what I am thinking

To distract your overthinking do the following 

1. Regular body exercise 

2. Drink enough water 

3. Do what makes you happy 

4. Go for counseling 

5. Eat balanced diet

To distract myself from overthinking, I like to take a break and do something completely unrelated to the task at hand. I might go for a walk, listen to some music, read a book, or watch a movie. I also find that talking with friends or family can help me take my mind off of whatever I'm worrying about.
