I think it is acceptable. But it can be tricky.  It may happened that finally you will decieve yourself. And a lot of people can get aware about that. Not good for reputation.

Lying is a sin, the bible condem it and even if you do it to protect yourself it is bad and you should ask for forgiveness from GOD, tell the truth no matter what, that's what make you a trusthed person.

If you've watched the series "House," you will often hear him say, "everybody lies." We lie for different reasons, some to protect others, some to protect ourselves. I believe that lying in any form does no good. You may feel okay at the start, but lies have a way of biting you back.

It's not right to lie to cover one's crime or sin at times people tends to do that very thing but I think we shouldn't do that mostly when we know that another person will get punishment.

A lie for good (a noble lie, a holy lie) is a lie that, if disclosed, would do the listener or a third party significant harm, but at the same time represents a significant benefit to the listener or to society as a whole.

You may hide behind lies for a while and escape what's real tho, but still right after that, the truth will still set you free. We may protect our self using that lie but we're the ones who will be hurt more once the truth prevails.

Lying to protect oneself is not acceptable as it undermines trust and integrity. It's better to find truthful ways to handle the situation.

That depends on the situation and the person's intentions. Generally, lying is seen as unacceptable, although in certain cases, it may be necessary to protect oneself or others from harm. Ultimately the decision should be based on a person's individual values and beliefs.

A lot of people do this especially when they find themselves in a fixed. It is not encouraging because I understand that we should be guided by the truth and only the truth can set us free.

It depends on the situation. Generally speaking, it is not acceptable to lie to protect oneself, as it can have damaging consequences for both yourself and those around you. It's important to weigh the potential risks and benefits of any action before making a decision.
