May be I am wrong but I think that it is a problem with battery. May be it was produced the wrong way. I do not know other things on that matter. Operating systems have to detect such troubles, I think.

If it stopped charging and the problem is from the battery the laptop will give you a notification that the battery expired this happened to me , if this happened you can change the battery or better send it to laptop specialist to check it if the problem from the battery or something else.

Battery have a life time so it need to be changed from time to time , for me it worked six years and now it expired.

If you don't want to buy a new battery you can use it connecting it to the plug.

Also the life time of the battery depend on the quality of the laptop you bought.

As for me I bought once dell and I got cheated from the shop and the battery stopped working after 2 months.

And what I discovered is that the seller was using it long time ago and renew it and cheated me and sold me it as a new laptop and charge me a lot of money.

The second laptop I bought is hp and the battery last 6 years from a trusted computer shop.

If your laptop is new go to the shop you bought it from and let them check it for you.

Also check the battery if it is connected good to the laptop maybe it moved a little bit when you transfer your laptop from one place to another.

Remove the battery and put it back and check again.

It is due to the battery . you can change the battery. It is little bit costly. Some repair shop will replace it with a repaired one or new one. Better to go for one with warranty.

If your laptop is not charging then it mean that the charging spot must have gotten damaged so you have to visit a repair shop and get it changed with a brand new one.

If your laptop is not charging, there are a few things you can try. First, make sure that the power adapter is securely plugged into both the wall and the laptop. If it is, try a different power outlet or a different power adapter. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the battery or the power adapter. If the problem persists, you may need to take the laptop to a repair shop.

Start by checking the power adapter and the charging cable for any damage. If they appear fine, try using a different power outlet. Ensure the charging port on the laptop is clean and free from debris. If the issue persists, try removing the laptop battery (if possible) and reconnecting it. If these steps don't work, there may be a hardware problem with the battery, charging port, or power adapter, and it's advisable to seek professional assistance.
