Some people may claim that dry fasting can cure herpes, there is no scientific basis for these claims. Dry fasting is a type of fasting in which a person abstains from both food and water for a period of time. There is no reliable evidence to suggest that dry fasting has any health benefits, and it can be dangerous if undertaken improperly.

To be honest, as a microbiologist, I know that there is no treatment of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), simply called herpes. But fasting can lessen the severity of the disease i.e., symptoms. Daily oral dose of acyclovir or other antiviral drugs over a 6 to 12-month period can be effective in preventing recurrent genital herpes lesions and in reducing the spread of the herpes infections to sexual partners. Sexual abstinence and faithful monogamy between uninfected partners are the only sure way of preventing genital infections.

Fasting is when you willingly avoid food intake. It’s been practiced by religious groups around the world for thousands of years. These days, however, fasting has become a popular way to lose weight.

Dry fasting, or absolute fasting, restricts both food and liquid. It doesn’t allow any fluids, including water, broth, and tea. This is different from most fasts, which encourage water intake

The herpes virus causes cold sores and genital sores, as well as life-threatening infections in newborns, encephalitis and corneal blindness.

No, there is currently no cure for herpes, and the virus can remain in the body indefinitely. While there are medications that can help manage the symptoms of herpes and reduce the risk of transmission, they do not cure the infection.

No, dry fasting cannot cure herpes. Herpes is a viral infection that requires medical treatment. Dry fasting may have potential health benefits, but it should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment for any condition.

I am not aware of any scientific evidence that suggests that dry fasting can cure herpes. Additionally, it is important to note that dry fasting can be dangerous and can lead to dehydration and other health risks. I recommend speaking to your doctor before attempting any type of fasting.
