TW: mention of self-harm. I accidentally saw my classmate's cuts on her arm. She is also a friend of mine so I am concerned. Should I confront her about it and talk to her so she could share me her problems, or just ignore it because she might feel uncomfortable if I point it out?

Just ignore and forget it.If she has not seen it worthy to tell you don't force yourself to know. There is a reason why she has not let you know which might be personal therefore confronting her to tell it can lead to some disappointment.

Better to avoid it. She may feel like unhappy.  So better avoid such unnecessary conversation. If she likes to tell she will tell more details.

If you are that close to her and she feel comfortable to talk to you maybe you can ask her in an indirect way and if she want to open her heart and talk then she will tell you , but you can do nothing for her, the best way is to talk to someone who is older than you how can help her in the school and maybe they will know what is her problem and help her.

These things are sensitive and need specialists to help her.

Even though you feel uncomfortable asking your friend if she has a problem l think there is nothing wrong if you exert an effort to approach your friend. Since you are both friends somehow she will feel more comfortable opening up to you. It is a big help if we can help someone, especially our friend whom we care about. Never ignore if someone needs help with our little ways to help and even save someone's life.

It is important to be sensitive when it comes to a situation like this. Your friend may feel uncomfortable if you confront her about it, but it is important to be there for her and let her know that she can turn to you for support. Let her know that you are concerned and that you are available to talk to her if she needs someone to talk to. It is also important to respect her boundaries and not press her for details if she does not want to discuss it.

It's difficult to give a definitive answer without more context. However, in general, if you're unsure about something or have a concern, it's often better to ask rather than ignore it. Asking can help clear up any confusion or misunderstandings and can also help to build trust and improve communication.

It is important to be supportive and understanding if you are concerned about a friend's wellbeing. It can be difficult to bring up the topic of self-harm, but it is important to let your friend know that you are there for them and that you are willing to listen. Try to start a conversation in a non judgmental and supportive way, and be sure to let your friend know that you care about them.
