People may fear talking to strangers or speaking on a stage due to social anxiety or performance anxiety. They may worry about being judged, making a mistake, or not being good enough. This fear can stem from past negative experiences, low self-esteem, or simply being introverted. It's important to remember that everyone experiences fear and anxiety to some degree and that it's possible to overcome these fears through practice and exposure therapy.

This might be caused by a number of psychologically connected reasons. Psychologically, it may be associated with childhood trauma that makes one to have a lot of fear when communicating in public. It is true to say that if all this is not faced and worked on, it keeps elevating with time. As we avoid every opportunity to speak in public, the fear keeps growing gradually. Low self esteem can mostly be the reason as to why some people avoid public speaking or talking to friends. Where a person feels unworthy, unwanted and is less proud of himself or herself, it lowers self confidence towards the individual. However, it may just be someone's personality referred to as introverts. They may hardly speak and they feel okay when they are alone and their  socializing skills are very poor. However, personality can change over time especially when that particular person finds someone who is compatible with their interests.

On the same matter, other people are jus naturally confidence and have no fears facing a bigger congregation to talk to them. This people have strong social relationships are able to solve their challenges and face their problems very easily.

What some would call stage fright, this can be caused from a lack of self confidence that comes from fearing being judged, embarrassed or making a mistake.  For some, the shaking you see comes from muscle tension.  They stress to the point that their muscles tighten, making them shake.

For some, practicing these social situations to where they become a habit and they learn coping strategies for when things don't go the way they expect can help (role play or talking with someone they know and then working up to speaking with strangers).  They can also practice releasing the tensed muscles - working bit by bit through the body from their feet, legs, arms, etc. and consciously tightening the muscle and releasing, so as to push the tension through and fatigue the muscle enough not to tight up again or to work out the restless energy (fight or flight response) that makes them shake.

Some people fear talking to strangers or talking on a stage because they are afraid of being judged or embarrassed. It can be difficult to put yourself in a vulnerable position and talk to people you don't know, or to speak in front of a large group of people. People who are confident in talking to strangers or speaking on a stage may have had more practice in these situations, or may have developed strategies to help them manage their fear.

Social Anxiety: Social anxiety is an excessive fear of being judged, criticized, or embarrassed in social situations. It can make initiating conversations with strangers or speaking in front of a large audience extremely uncomfortable and anxiety-provoking.

Fear of Rejection: Some individuals may fear rejection or negative evaluation by others. The idea of initiating a conversation with a stranger or speaking on stage can trigger worries about being judged, ridiculed, or disliked, leading to avoidance.

Lack of Confidence: Low self-confidence or self-esteem can contribute to a fear of talking to strangers or speaking in public. A person may doubt their abilities to communicate effectively, fear making mistakes, or worry about not being able to meet social expectations.
