Do You Believe in This quote "If you Don't ask questions, How would you learn"?
more_vert
It s totally true : our knowledge is extended by the questions. Actually mankind science is growing up with questions.

Yes, that is true I believe that's the reason why scientist was born. There are many people out there who have many questions in their mind and these persons tend to do things to find the answer to their question.

Emphatically yes. You can't know if you don't ask. Only those that seek can find, and only those that knock shall be opened unto.

Yes, to a large extent its true and I believe a lot of people will see reasons with that.it not always the best to be pessimistic and allow others ask all the question while you look on.

My local parlance has a saying that says  only a person that had asked questions will do the right thing without any mistake. Unless one is dealing with himself or herself personally then there will be no need to ask questions but when others are involved questions must be asked.

One will gain the following by asking questions

* clarify of all confusing things

*Things will be done according to plans

*Things hardly go wrong not when questions are asked and answers supplied alresdy

* There wouldn't be need to repeat a task numerous times because one had clarity before commencement.

I totally agree with that post. There may be some things that you need certain clarification and you can only know when you ask. If you don't ask, your knowledge will remain the same. There's no harm in asking questions because everyday is a process of learning and nobody knows it all.

Everybody has something that the next person can learn. Even the smartest people still refer to others and nobody knew everything all by themselves. Even books are collections from the knowledge of people.

Don't spare any questions that you might have. It increases you and the one who doesn't ask any is likely to remain the same as before. I always ask others what I feel they have better knowledge about. The whole world is a learning curve.

When I was in high school, teachers used to insist us on asking questions. Someone like me am not fond of asking questions unless its a burning question. Most of the times, you'll always find people trying forcing out questions even what the teacher has explained while others would ask irrelevant questions just for the sake of asking.
This whole issue of forcing people into asking questions was a really bad idea for me. Yes most of us are able to learn from questions but I can say its only 3%. There's no way you can ask irrelevant question and expect people to learn something out of that. Digging deep into books and internet is always my best solution to hard questions instead of embarrassing myself asking something easy.

I total agreed with the quote. There is 100% element of truth in it. If you don't ask questions, there is no way you can ever learn. It's only through asking of relevant questions, we can build on what we already know. Being complacent in asking question is not the way to go for an individual who wants to be knowlegeable. Knowledge they say is power. And you can only be powerful if you're knowledgeable.
Scientifically speaking, it's only the mind that is not curious to know more that would stop probing. Since we are living in a ever changing world, it is important we ask questions because the things that you think you know yesterday might have been eroded or overhauled today. And still holding on to such knowledge of yesterday could be very dangerous because you might up being harm by the new knowledge of today.

Yes I do agree with that quote completely. Questions are a way of learning new things. It is only through asking that you will learn about something.  Answers not only give a direct solution to a question but also clarifies more about the issue. It also opens room for other questions and when there are more questions to be answered then you are in the end, gaining more knowledge and learning new things.
To back up on that, there is a proverb in Swahili that I can roughly translate as "asking is not being stupid". This proverb encourages people, especially students to ask questions. It implies that asking questions is not a sign of stupidity but rather, a way to learn more. People sometimes find it hard to ask questions, I was that way in school but I encourage everyone now to be free in asking questions.

I believe so much in the quotation.  The only stage that you learn without asking questions is when you are still a baby and you are not grown to the stage of talking or making constructive sentences.
There is the saying that "he or she who ask questions about his or her  journey to an unknown place will surely  get to the destination " For instance if you are to travel to a country that you have not been too or city you may not get to the city if you don't ask.
I have never heard or seen any successfull academician that never ask. In my opinion there can not be life without asking to learn. New discoveries, development , technological advancements are product of questions that were asked which challenged people to embark on research to learn.

Definitely. I do think that learning also emanates from asking questions. However, to be able to ask questions that will stimulate critical thinking, one has to listen carefully as well.

As the saying goes, "Curiosity--asking questions--isn't just a way of understanding the world. It's a way of changing it." In asking questions, we get to learn something new not only by communicating but also by evoking exploration, insight, discovery, and action. Even innovators never stop asking questions because they know that in doing so, they will be able to get better answers.

Through as asking questions, we also get to realize what information is already there but needs further refinement. More importantly, we see how people with expertise and experience view a certain subject. Yes, we can go ahead and Google our way to everything, but when doubt strikes the mind, it is only through asking questions that we get immediate answers that satisfy our curiosity and further lead us in deeper thoughts.

Of course, if we don't understand something we should clarify it by asking questions. Sometimes it can seem embarrassing and in the past I have asked a question which I thought might seem silly only to find that lots of other people wanted to know the same thing,

I remember having a very strict Maths teacher when I was at school but he would make everyone too afraid to ask questions. He would bang his fist on the desk and shout "If you don't understand come out and ask!". I found him terrifying and would never ask him anything so I never did well in his class because there was so much I didn't understand.

A teacher should know how  to to put his subject across and be able to answer any question, no matter how silly it may seem, to help a pupil understand, and that pupil should never be afraid to ask because asking questions is the way forward and a pathway to learning,

Yes, I think so, we humans have this curiosity within us and it is just one of our nature, our curiosity leads us to have questions in our mind, though there are times that we are not vocally asking it to someone still, we have many questions that we just kept within ourselves and someday, hoping that we find the answers for that question. It is the curiosity and hunger for knowledge that we are keeping on asking, we humans always wanted to know what is the reason behind something that is happening in this world, that is why many are very attracted to mystery and many are really dedicate their time and life just to fill in the questions in their mind. Questions make people think deeper and wider for that reason we human obtain knowledge and develop our mind better and better.

Education can never be considered complete without asking questions and then getting responses to the questions asked in order to make the learning process complete.
Understanding differs from one individual to another just like we all have our individual differences. It's most likely impossible for two people to understand one subject matter in exactly the same way. So, the only way to clear any confusion that may spring up from the topic being discussed would be to ask questions and get a direct answer to help you understand better.
I can remember vividly during my academic days in both my college and university sessions, my teachers and lecturers make it a must for us to form the habit of formulating questions from what we are being taught in order to help us understand the lectures better. Even if we fail to ask questions, our teachers impose questions on us to answer.

People get knowledge in different ways, and i don't think that quote applies to everyone. It may apply to most people but if you are someone who most of the time thinks outside the box, you will think otherwise. When you think about this quote you can tell it will apply mostly to the people who are more aggressive and outspoken, or extroverts if i may say that. But what happens to the people who are quiet and really don't speak much, will they get out of their shells to ask the questions that they have? Or will they search for answers on their own, especially in this days where we have google all the way, you can get all the answers you need when you need them. We also have Youtube that is open for everyone, so really there are many ways to gain knowledge you don't have to stick to asking questions only. Just be open minded use your ears, eyes, mind whatever else you have to learn.

When one asks questions it proves he was attentive. Questions are for clarifying a point and finding out what was not covered.

A person who does not ask questions may not have been attentive or fears to be laughed at if they ask ambiguous questions.

I strongly believe in asking questions. It is the only way to learn and be attentive.

I completely agree with the quote. Because without asking question, the wont know anything. Asking question is the only way to get an answer. It helps us to gain knowledge. If we have a doubt anything, we should ask question to get a answer.

Of course questions are the real way to success

If you learn what you study you will understand

But if you asked questions it will be more clear and you will understand much more

Also in life if you don't ask your father or someone with experience you will fall in mistakes and problems

Yes, I believe in this phrase. It is also the same thing that elders do say, 'If a child asks so many questions, then he or she is a smart child.

The questions  can be asked to the teacher on free time. But the questions should be based on what taught and serious question. Ask questions can get the concepts clear and improve knowledge.

Curiosity and Imagination is the reason of social, political, environmental and other  developments . We were able to go to the moon because someone asked the question, is there something beyond the things what we see?

Yes, I believe in this quote. Asking questions is an essential part of learning and is the best way to gain knowledge and understanding. Without asking questions, it would be difficult to make progress in learning.
