The square root of 49 is 7.
If you want to know how to find square roots, you'll have to know the prime factorisation of the number.
If examples can help:-
√49 = √7x7 (Note that they are u der the same root)
Now since it's a square root, you take the factors in a pair, that is, 7 and 7, when the numbers are multiplied, it gives 49.
Another bigger example
√125 = √5x5x5
Here, once again we take a pair (5 and 5) and they will be brought out of the root, since the third 5 isn't in a pair, it will stay under the root and the answer will be 5√5, now when you take square of this answer, it will give 125.
