Dental implants are fixed into your gums  and more like your own teeth although they cannot decay so they have the advantage over real teeth in this respect.  You don't have to keep taking them in and out to clean them and they do not crack and break as easily as a denture.

Dental implants are more like your own teeth because they are designed to fuse with the bone so they become permanent. Because of this they are more comfortable when eating, they do not slide about like dentures so they improve confidence. They are very durable and if looked after properly can last a lifetime.

The one drawback is the cost of dental implants but once in place they should not need much maintenance. Dentures may be cheaper initially but because of gum shrinkage they may need to be replaced several times over the years. Having said that dentures have improved cosmetically over time and can still give a nice smile so if you can't afford implants a denture is better than a toothless grin.

Dental implants are the popular treatment method available in dentistry to restore your real tooth with some artificial tooth. Dental implants are considered as the best treatment in dentistry as they replace your real tooth by not making any difference. when you got decayed tooth, the periodontist will clean your gums so that you won't get decay again, then you will be provided with a metal framework foundation to hold your artificial pre-crimped crowns. After three or four days periodontist will fix you your artificial tooth. This method doesn't need your adjacent teeth for support as like indentures treatment. No one can find the difference between your real tooth and the artificial tooth after this treatment. As you say, the treatment cost is little higher compared to other dental treatments. But it is reasonable for the treatment quality.

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots, in the shape of a screw. Dental implants create a bond with the natural jawbone. they become a strong base for the further implants called the dental crowns. This dental implanting method has been tracked back to around 600 AD. It is the only dental restoration option that preserves the natural jawbone and supports the tooth for much longer time and eventually helps it bone growth as well. These dental implants stay well for lifelong. Dental implant surgery is the safest and easiest way to protect your tooth when performed by a trained and experienced dental implant surgery specialist.

The types of dental implants are-

Endosteal(in the bone)

Subperiosteal(on the bone).
