Am an introvert by personality. I find comfort in solitude, during which I engage myselft with mental activities like reading and research or learning something new.

Within my introverted state lies a melancholic temprament, a characteristic mostly associated with thought, sensitive thoughts. This simply means that I get very sensitive thoughts when am alone, certain thoughts that makes me question our psychology as humans.

Have you ever had this thought about how we came to know everything we know? Like how do we know red is actually red and not white. What makes us think black is for mourning and white for celebrations?  Why do we believe right is right and not wrong is right?

Is there any possibility of a parallel or completely opposite world out there with people whose behaviors deviates from our morals standards and also contradicts our moral conscience? Do they mostly cry when they are happy and laugh when they are sad? image

Well, for me I always believe most things came to be from deep thoughts, research and more research.A lot of things happen to be in it's raw stage where one just came up with an idea that's just crude and maybe initially it was used that way but someone decided to research more and came up with more knowledge and adds to the existing ideas and then refined and fine tune it better to give us a better version of that thing.  So we know what we know first through our inner feelings and conviction that something is right or wrong and then another makes more research to really finds out if that thing is right or wrong and gave it a definite name which there are known for.

But sincerely humans always know what is right or wrong naturally, our instinct tell us that immediately, it just  thst some people tends  to pretend not to know.

This reminds me most of Ludwik Fleck's paper, "To Look, To See, To Know". In his paper, he highlighted that in order to see, one has to know what is essential and what is inessential. And that seeing what is essential is mainly influenced by the thought-collective where one belongs. For instance, economists may view things very differently compared to what environmental scientists perceive. In order to see, we must know what we should be looking at. Only then we'll get to see the the fine details of a specific form.

As to your question, I, too, often wonder about such things. Why are colors named such? Why is a pen called a pen--and then there's a pencil? In my previous question, I've asked how new words were created, with the intent of understanding how things were named such, and whether or not consensus were arrived at in naming these things. As to how we make use of these thought goes back to Fleck's theory that it is in fact our thought-collective that dictates us. He proposed that a form is constructed not from 'objective physical elements' but from cultural and historical themes. How a form is seen by a person arises from the sources beyond the individual person--from the opinion of the general public or from the prevailing habit of thinking. Through experience and exposure to various perception within a collective, we get to know how to perceive and make use of what we see.

I also think it is quite interesting to know if these parallel or alternate universes exist. If there is another universe out there that actually displays very different outcomes of the choices we made, that would really be amazing. But if there are, can we ever travel to these universes?

"How a form is seen by a person arises from the sources beyond the individual person - from the opinion of the general public or from the prevailing habit of thinking"

This is by far the most compelling piece in Fleck's theory and am not surprised you picked it up. It can be related to and associated with an answer to your question, how words are being formed. As a writer, they are times when certain words just pop into your head and seem to blend in your tenses, some of these words might not exist. You'd get surprise when you come across it somewhere else. In no time, the dictionary adopts it and it gets published in a new edition. An example of such recent words are Bromance, Chillax, etc.

You know, every man's invention and scientific break through all sprout from an idea, a single thought that might have seemed impossible at first. If they be a parallel universe (which I believe so), traveling there will only be a matter of time, and time as explained in Relativistic time idea derived from Albert Einstein's theory of Relativity.

I did a research on time travel not too long along and was amazed at the findings. Did you know there was a woman pictured answering a cellphone in one of Charlie Chaplin's videos back in 1928? From her dressing, I can say she's probably from our time. This goes to show that traveling in space and time will soon be or might have already been actualized but kept hidden from populace.

A lot of what we know is learned very early in life.  We come into this world knowing nothing and within 5 years or more we can walk, talk, start school and learn to read and write. Learning is something that starts the day we are born and carries on until the day we die. At first most of what we know comes from other people, parents, teachers, friends but as we get older we learn to form our own ideas and opinions based on what others have told us and what we can see for ourselves.

When it comes to right and wrong I do believe some people are wired differently and although they might know something is wrong they will justify what they do to make the offence less serious, I have a family member who is nothing like the rest of us even though he was brought up with the same values. When I think about it that tendency was there from very early on so although I'm not sure about a parallel world I do wonder about a previous life where we carry over deviant behaviour.

How we know everything that we know seems like not a mystery to me but how we know what we shouldn't ordinarily. From birth to death, it is an order in life which is governed by the environment we find ourselves. I like to think of knowledge in the fashion you questioned it as a "cumulative effect." of the things we picked up from the first face we see to the soft whispers, first speech, environment, education and our lives in genergeneral.

The idea and order of how life is meant to be has been in existence long before us right from the first men on earth. This takes us back to speech, language formation, rules, laws, order etc. The ones that dare to think outside of this box of order are actually the ones who created and are still creating the changes we see and innovations we never imagined to be possible.

The strongest weapon which is the mind of man has long be tamed. When we unleash this mass even we are shocked at our imaginations and possibilities. So it is only fair for me to say even without proof that there just could be a parallel universe out there.

I must say that your preamble write-ups on the question is quite mind-boggling. It is because it weirdly contradicts everything we've come to know as humans. As for me, there are some questions that are better left unasked, because doing so would save us the headache of trying to fathom the unfathomable.

Back to what I think about the whole puzzle contained in your question. Actually, we know what we know through learning and the things we've experienced as humans. Learning and experience play an integral parts of the transfer of knowledge that was laid since the inception of this world. In other words, they are the foundation of continuous knowledge impartation.

In conclusion, I would say that if the things we know now were different from what they are now, we would have been thought differently too. And this would have significantly be the basis of knowledge transfer. As it stands, these are the things we were thought, so therefore, they serve as sources of what we know now. Period!

To be honest I am having the same question. My question came from how planets are made and named. Who named it, why it was named that way? I think that there are people with deepest thoughts that investigates and research about new things. I do believe that God gave us the brains on how we get on with our life here in our planet. I think all the information are because of his plans for all the human beings to live here in this planet and to utilize every resources that is in here and to create a new one as a product of imagination. I think it is all because of us using our brain. We have the most amazing intellect that we can able to come up with a name, just as we are naming our future children. We just know because of our brains and creativity.

That's psychology, i have ever asked myself those questions several times but i think its meant to be. But then, this whole thing was started by early scholars and they had done some research before making those conclusions.  I don't find any essence of trying to compromise any and besides over generation people have stuck to those theories or findings and it will become hard for them to adapt to new methods or findings.

As for me,  have always wondered how we came to be. Despite of theories and biblical teaching, I have wondered, why is it me and not some other creature somewhere.  How is it that our body functions without some order or use of machines. Have been wondering this for quite some time now but its all meant to be like that.

By self evaluating one can came to know what one's know. Yes. Self evaluation is the good thing to know about oneself.

Often self evaluating is the good one.

An organized, logical way of learning and knowing about our social world. In sum, there are many ways that people come to know what they know. These include informal observation, selective observation, overgeneralization, authority, and research methods.

I personally  think that we can have our self-reflection. In this way, we can able to know things that bothering our minds without any shortcomings.

We know what we know because of the beliefs and values that are passed down from generations and accepted as the norm. Through our own experiences, we come to understand and accept the things we know as truth. We also learn from the people around us, from books, from the media, from our own observations, and from conversations with others. Through these sources, we are presented with different perspectives and facts which we can then use to form our own opinions and draw our own conclusions.

Some people may find the world they know to be a happy and positive place, while others may find it a difficult and dark place. It is important to find your own path in life, and what matters to you doesn't matter to others.
