For context, she has had a very privileged upbringing in a very rich neighborhood of Stockholm, Sweden, even richer w.r.t. American standards. She has rich parents and lived a very privileged life. She wants to make changes in the world to make it a better place & there's nothing wrong with it. Even after this, she claims her childhood is ruined! I mean, has she gone through multiple wars, starvation, government mismanagement, plagues, heavy pollution, and working nonstop just to make ends meet? Has she been under constant pressure since the day she was born to get good grades? No, I bet she hasn't! I’m sure she is a well meaning and honest girl, but she doesn’t understand complex global issues like these well enough!

Being born in the richest Scandinavian neighborhood is called privileged my friends! She wines about using stuffs that harm the environment but on the other hand, she travels in private jet which is even more harmful for our ecosystem. Everyone these days is making wrong people their idol or someone to look upon! She would've been ignore like a white guy raising voice against climate change if she didn't had any strong parents! This is everything wrong with this generation! If you want to know people who wants to make changes then please talk about Saalumarada Thimmakka, a 110+ years old lady from Karnataka, India who is noted for her work in planting and tending to 385 banyan trees along a forty-five-kilometre stretch of highway between Hulikal and Kudur, Karnataka. She has also planted nearly 8000 other trees. With the support of her husband, she found solace in planting trees and she's been awarded Padma Shree, a very high value award for doing such great deeds and many more. Don't you think she should get more recognised than Greta Thunberg who is just popular because of her "how dare you" meme!

I don't really know much about Greta, other than what I've heard from friends and family. I don't think she is really " Privileged ". I think she is honest and she wants to make a difference.

You have to agree that she had very rich privileged background. Being born in the richest of all Scandinavian neighborhood, Stockholm, you have to expect that or even if you still believe your instincts, you can google about her upbringing!

Greta is from a middle class family. She is from a family that is well-to-do, which makes her questionable as to whether she is really privileged. she does seem to be very honest and web savvy. She has also shown herself to be a good friend and team player.

Her parents combined net worth is over 5 million USD before her popularity. I don't know about your country but in United States, this is not what a middle class family is!

And also her honesty is very questionable as she's being found using her private jet which is the worst for our biological ecosystem. She claims her Yatch is 0% emission but I'm an engineer, I know even if it claims to be zero-emission, it's still very damaging to the aquatic life on all aspects!

I hope what you are saying is correct that she had a very rich privileged background because she was found using her private jet which is worst for our biological ecosystem and all. Very harmful to aquatic life in many ways, I agree.

Nice answer, it was well thought out but I have a few suggestions but I will keep it to myself because I'm not annoying.

My take for Greta is that you are never too small to make a difference a. Thunberg (swedish environment activists ) tackles climate changes by challenges the world leaders.

You can never be too small to make a difference, in my opinion, so Greta. Swedish environmental campaigner Thunberg takes on global leaders in his fight against climate change.
