For Ayurveda, traditional Indian medicine, nothing has the same measure for two people, everything happens according to individual characteristics. Ayurvedic medicine is, above all, a tool of self-knowledge, so that everything can be optimized according to its physical and psychological type.
The archetypes proposed by ayurveda are the doshas: vata, pitta and kapha. Knowing what your dosha is is the first step to using the holistic and plural approach of Ayurvedic medicine.
These three profiles are the combinations of the five elements of the universe.
Vata: air and ether
Pitta: fire and water
Kapha: earth and water.
The ayurvedic skin type of a person, therefore, can be Vata, Pitta or Kapha, or sometimes a combination of two of these doshas. In addition, a person can be born with a certain type of skin, but over time this can change because of external factors such as climate, diet, lifestyle or environmental pollution. Such "imbalances" should also be taken into account in choosing a skin care program and this should be done by means of a detailed study of your dosha with a qualified professional.
But in addition to the professional guidelines, it is possible, yes, to take some care that are worth for any type of skin. See the tips:
Bet on vegetables
Always consume vegetables that are high in water, which are easier to digest, such as lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, radishes (known in ayurveda for their purifying properties), fennel and asparagus. These vegetables are tridóshicos, that is, good for all skin types. Combine at least three of them and eat with olive oil and lemon sauce, all natural, of course.
Eat smaller portions
Traditional and Ayurvedic medicine agree that adding seeds, nuts and nuts to your diet will improve the condition of your skin. You can add almonds, sunflower seeds, flaxseed and other nuts and nuts to oats, for example or consume these foods as afternoon snack.
Always have some tea
Stay hydrated all day long and give preference to hot liquids such as herbal tea. Making some spicy tea with fresh ginger and lemon will help wake your spirits in the afternoon and keep your digestion healthy, something extremely important for a bright and healthy skin.
Modern physicians advise exercises to keep your muscles and joints healthy and toned while eliminating toxins. Physical activities also improve blood circulation, digestion and leave the skin with a healthy blush! Choose the type of exercise that makes you feel good and move! You can run, dance, pedal, what matters is not to stop!
