In the Glee 'Vitamin D' episode, Will Schuester is struggling to balance his responsibilities as a teacher and Glee Club director. To solve this problem, he calls in Dakota Stanley, a former rival of his, to co-direct the club. However, Dakota turns out to be a drill sergeant-like director who takes the fun out of Glee Club, and the students rebel against him. Ultimately, Will realizes the importance of Glee Club as a space for his students to express themselves and he takes back control as the sole director.
