User accounts protect system security by restricting what resources or information they can access. By implementing what resources and information they can access, this will lower the possibility of unauthorized users or strangers from accessing confidential information. Therefore, by maintaining strong user accounts, a company's or person's confidential information will less likely to be disclosed to the public or the dark web.
In order for a company to implement strong user accounts, it must implement administrator users who can keep an eye out for unauthorized users trying to access its computers, as well as monitor their authorized users. Also, a company must develop a list of authorized users within the company that are allowed to access certain resources. Ideally, users are restricted to accessing information and resources that are only associated with their job duties.
