All those who think in that line are making salvation an act of good works, basing it on good deeds making Calvary with no effect, because by grace all are saved, not by works. All were short of the glory of the Lord; none of the people could fully obey, that's why Jesus came to fulfill that for all once for good; and many people forget that He died for THE WHOLE WORLD (moslims, buddhist, agnostics, atheists, whores, murderers, etc.), He reconciled THE WHOLE WORLD with God. No one is excepted. What people miss to understand is that God to fulfill His great purpose, uses the law of contrast: the Bible says that in His house He has both vessels of honor and dishonor; not only vessels of honor (good people): every human coming on earth has a certain God's purpose to fulfill, therefore, a servant of God. Think of the prodigal son after misbehaving in the world, when back the father (type of God) NEVER ASKED HIM TO ANSWER FOR HIS BAD DEEDS, "Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing", that prayer will stand forever for every single human being on earth. IT'S ABOUT A FREE GIFT OF SALVATION BY THE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE OF GOD. Preachers are basing it on good works to be able to make some money out of it (myself being a minister of good news, the gospel, but not the gos-pill given by money-seekers)
