I do not doubt God. I believe in Him. If God is Love then why do we have suffering in the world? Diseases, wars, conflicts, accidents and many others are rife.
I know your question is with respect to the Bible but hopefully my answer will be a nice read for you
So, according to Hindu mythology, this, earth, is Mrityu lok (Mortal realm) where the soul is born to suffer the consequences of its action in different lives and until the soul is cleansed completely, all it's sins have been redeemed, the soul is born in different bodies again and again. When the soul is free of all the dirt of human world (That means, the ego, lust, greed, selfishness and everything), it finally get free of the cycle of reincarnation and reaches Mokhsa(Means final death) which is the meeting of the soul to the supreme powers.
But obviously, it's just a mythology I read and have grown to believe, love and enjoy.
Sometimes suffering also means that you have distanced yourself from God. And he wants you to remember him, come to him. Because most of the people remember Jesus only in the time of need or things not going their way and they can't do anything about it.
God is all love, goodness, light, and perfection. Whenever He accomplishes something it is always perfect. Deuteronomy 32:4 “He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment…” Although everything God creates starts out as perfection, He allows subsequent happenings that are less than perfect to take place. This is because, being all-loving, He gives freedom of will to the beings He creates. Because His knowledge spans all time, He also knows the outcome of everything He sets out to accomplish even before starting it.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. II Peter 3:8
Out of all the possible worlds and beings He could have created, God made the decision to create mankind and the world we live in.
God that made the world and all things therein... giveth to all life, and breath, and all things...and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation...now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:24-26,30,31
Even before He created our world, God knew every event it would undergo (including all the suffering and negative happenings), and He knew that in sending His son, victory over all negatives would take place. The victory that awaits us will be so profound that its impact will far outweigh any negative experience that any of us has ever had or will ever have.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; II Corinthians 4:17
As children of God, we now, and will for eternity, enjoy the benefits and blessings of being part of the greatest family experience to ever take place, that of the family of God.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:3-5
