The Total numbers of countries of the world as recognized by the United States as at 2021 is 195.

However, this number could vary as a result of agitations and self independence of some nation in some part of the world

The total number of countries in the world is a subject of debate and depends on various factors such as political recognition, sovereignty, and international relations. The United Nations, which is the largest intergovernmental organization in the world, currently recognizes 193 member states as of September 2021. However, there are also other territories, dependencies, and unrecognized states that may or may not be considered as independent countries.

In addition to the UN member states, there are also two observer states, the Holy See (Vatican City) and Palestine. Some other territories, such as Western Sahara, are recognized by some countries as independent states, but not by others.

It's worth noting that the number of countries in the world is not static and can change over time due to factors such as secession, annexation, or changes in political status.

As of my knowledge cutoff in 2021, there are 195 recognized sovereign states in the world, including 193 member states of the United Nations and 2 observer states (the Holy See and Palestine). However, this number may be subject to change due to geopolitical events such as the recognition of new states or the merging of existing ones.

There are 195 recognized sovereign states in the world. These are the countries that are widely recognized as independent and have their own governments. Please note that the number of recognized sovereign states can change over time due to geopolitical developments, changes in recognition, and international agreements.

It's possible that there have been changes since then, so I recommend checking the most up-to-date and authoritative sources, such as the United Nations or the U.S. Department of State, for the latest information on the number of countries in the world.
