Ted Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber, was a former graduate of Harvard University. He received his undergraduate degree in mathematics in 1962 and his doctoral degree in mathematics in 1967. Despite his successful academic career, Kaczynski abandoned his academic pursuits and became a recluse in a cabin in Montana where he began his bombing campaign that killed three people and injured 23 others. He was eventually arrested in 1996 and is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
