There are five books in the New Testament that have the name "John" in them - the Gospel of John, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and the book of Revelation. The authors of these books are traditionally believed to be the apostle John, son of Zebedee, and/or a community of followers who used John's teachings as a basis for their writings.
