The prophetess who led the Israelites to victory in the battle against Sisera was named Deborah. Deborah was a judge and a prophetess in Israel during the time when the Israelites were oppressed by the Canaanites. She called upon Barak, the commander of the Israelite army, to gather 10,000 troops and go to battle against Sisera, the commander of the Canaanite army. Barak told Deborah he would only go if she went with him.
In the ensuing battle, Deborah's prophetic guidance helped the Israelites achieve a great victory over Sisera and his army. Sisera fled the battlefield and sought refuge in the tent of a woman named Jael, who killed him while he slept.
After the battle, Deborah and Barak celebrated their victory in a song of praise to God. The story of Deborah and Barak is found in the Book of Judges in the Old Testament of the Bible, in chapters 4 and 5.
