Russia is wider than the moon. Russia is the largest country in the world, with an area of 6,592,800 square miles (17,098,242 square kilometers). The moon's diameter is only 2,159.2 miles (3,476.3 kilometers).

This is a common misconception and is an exaggeration. No country is wider than the moon.

The moon has a diameter of 3,474 kilometers, while the Earth's widest country, Russia, has a width of about 11,000 kilometers from its westernmost point to its easternmost point.

However, compared to the vastness of space, even our planet Earth seems like a tiny speck, let alone any country or landmass on its surface.
