Loki is a member of the race of Frost Giants in the Marvel Comics universe. In Norse mythology, he is a god of mischief and trickery, the son of the Frost Giant Laufey and the god Odin's blood brother. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Loki is played by Tom Hiddleston, and the character's backstory was revised so that he was instead adopted by Odin, making him the half-brother of Thor and a member of the Asgardian race. However, even in the MCU, Loki has demonstrated his frost giant powers and abilities.
