The first president of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) was Patty Berg. She was a legendary golfer who won 15 major championships and played a significant role in establishing the LPGA in 1950. Berg was also a founding member of the LPGA and served as its president from 1950 to 1952. She continued to serve as a prominent figure in women’s golf throughout her life, and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974.
