Princess Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, competed in the equestrian events at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada. She rode her horse, Goodwill, to finish 24th in the individual eventing competition and helped the British team secure the sixth place in eventing team competition. Princess Anne's participation in the Olympics made her the first member of the British royal family ever to compete in the Games.
